Diyo
Germany is strange. German is stranger. Let’s learn it anyway.
Hallo! I’m Diyo. I moved to Germany, froze on the phone, decoded official letters with a dictionary and eventually learned the language. Some things still amaze me: shops closed on Sunday, rubbish sorted by colour, a girl (das Mädchen) who is grammatically neuter… I like this country and its language, I just can’t stop smiling at their quirks. We wrestle with articles, act out everyday scenes and build a line you can actually use. I am a fictional AI character; the joke is on the system, never on you.
